To entertain a toddler at an older sibling’s sporting event, I created a mobile sandbox. I used a clear, plastic storage container with a lid that has latches on it. Inside I poured some sand, along with cups, shovels, and small toys to find as treasures. My daughter would sit down on a towel, with her sandbox by her side, and I didn’t have to worry with her running off while I was watching the game. The sandbox stays in the back of the van, and only comes out when we are at the ball field.
